opening spare rooms for trans people in need

helping trans people find jobs and education

helping trans people exit sex work

helping trans people get out of abusive relationships

helping trans people find resources for counseling and therapy

the fact that they’re not doing these things and instead are focusing on trying to make women’s lives hell makes it very clear the actual intent of trans activism, it’s not to help trans people, it’s to control women. they’re doing the same shit men have done for centuries / millennia but with a “progressive” spin on it.

I’m not denying that trans activists are shitty towards women, but it’s disingenuous to say that’s kind of all they do. Honestly, they kind of make everyone’s, including trans people’s lives hell. This isn’t really a misogyny issue, it’s a ‘trans activism is a shitty and toxic movement that negatively impacts both cis and trans people’ issue. I’d kind of argue one of the biggest bad things they do is make transgender people look like an absolute joke and paint us all as weak, overly sensitive, ‘I’ll call u a dirty transphobe if u don’t fuck me’ light.

Again, not saying trans activists aren’t shitty towards women, but they really are shitty to everyone.

The word “woman” was recently designated hate speech in the UK, to the point where a billboard featuring:

Was pulled after a trans rights activist complained that it was hateful.

If it has an “especially negative impact” on anyone, it’s the Sex That Dare Not Speak Its Name.

That’s a whole new level of stupid by trans activists, yeah, but again, trans activists being pissbabies still doesn’t only impact women? Again, I’d argue doing stupid bullshit like that does absolutely nothing to help the image and reputation of trans people (the people they say they want to help). Instead, it makes us seem like toddlers who’ll screech transphobia when someone accidentally misgenders us or refuses to fuck us. It delegitimizes an entire group of people and makes us even more of a laughingstock than we already are to the general populace. It makes it less likely for anyone at all to think we’re anything more than Milo Stewart clones who wear pronoun pins and identify as ‘stargender’, and given trans people are still actively killed or put through conversion therapy and no one really seems to gives a shit, presenting us as legitimately crazy makes people care even less. Is it absolutely insane to say the word ‘woman’ is hatespeech? Absolutely. Get it repealed immediately, it’s bullshit. It does no one any harm. But this shit doesn’t only affect women, not in the least. 
Though I might have an ideas as to why that happened and the same didn’t happen with men. In trans activism and in general, trans women are kind of more visible than trans men. Because of that and an emphasis on ‘feminism’ (at least from my perspective) trans women are kind of pushed to the forefront of that particular activism movement, so people within it end up making more strides to try and ‘help’ – big old quotes on ‘help’ – them more than ‘help’ trans men. But hey, it’s midnight where I am and that’s just my wild fucking theory. 

But is it really?

May I offer an alternative?

What if: the reason trans women are so very well represented in trans activism is because males (be they trans or cis) are generally better funded and vastly more selfish?

Trans women speak over trans men. I know that for a fact, because I’ve seen it happen. I suspect you could corroborate that.

I’d even wager a guess that trans women speak about 66% of the time, compared to trans men.

I suspect that because it’s the same statistic whereby cis men dominate the conversations; men believe women are monopolizing a dialogue when they speak 33% of the time.

Look at your community. Is that something you see replicated there?

Further, I’ve also noticed that trans activists — again, almost exclusively trans women — are better funded than their lesbian “sisters” (by almost 4x as much). There are numerous trans women who are multimillionaires or billionaires. They’re also all white. Can you name them?

Here’s a few —

The Wachowskis (the Maxtrix)

Jennifer Pritzker (Big Pharma)

Caitlyn Jenner (Media and Sports)

There are more. But why is it that I can name one billionaire and three multimillionaire trans women off the top of my head?

Why is that?

There is obvious favoritism in the trans community at times and even by the people who view us, but you are inching incredibly close to the good old ‘trans women are really just men in dresses’ rhetoric with what you’re saying. I don’t fuck with that, and frankly I think it’s kinda rude and you’re kinda condescending. I get your point, but I’m certainly not gonna spend time in a conversation where the person I’m talking with sounds pretty transphobic when I myself am trans.

You can think I’m condescending if you like. I’m doing my best to be polite and civil because I don’t want to come off as attacking you, but if you choose to read that as condescension I suppose I can’t stop you.

Furthermore: the fact remains — transphobic or not, you identified that trans women disproportionately monopolize air-time, resources, labour and funds. They speak over trans men (at best), harass them and insult them (in and of itself offensive), or even rape them (Cherno Biko, for example, but there are many others).

Why am I transphobic for pointing out something even you identified as being an issue?

Lastly: if you continue to look at this on a micro level — that is to say, an interpersonal P v P level — then you won’t make progress.

You have to look at this systemically.

The only thing these trans women have in common is being male, and the subsequent socialization that follows.

The only thing these trans men have in common is being female… with all the baggage that entails.

So I pose the question again:

Why is it that trans women monopolize the conversation and community in ways that replicate or duplicate the way that men monopolize the dialogue in broader society?
